LKS2 - Kingfisher Class, Owl Class, Kestrel Class and Woodpecker Class

LKS2

Learning in Lower Key Stage 2 follows the thematic approach of KS1 together with the core subjects of Mathematics and English while creating cross-curricular learning where possible.

During the childrens'  time in LKS2, skills and objectives are acquired through a two year learning plan with further learning opportunities encouraged through home learning, educational visits and links with the local community.

Towards the end of LKS2 all children are invited to participate in a residential visit. Over the three days each child is encouraged to take part in a variety of activites such as kayaking, climbing and bushcraft skills as well as fostering self help skills, developing resilience and challenging their personal boundaries.
